INSPIRED BY FUNCTION AND UTILITY

The introduction of the MHL. label evolved from an attraction to the functional details and durable cotton fabrics found in workwear. The cloth and manufacturing processes are necessarily coarser and tougher than the Margaret Howell collection, utilising coarser thread, bar-tacking, twin needle stitching and signature corozo brace buttons.

The contrasting refinement of the Margaret Howell collection with the tough, utilitarian character of MHL. combine to reflect the essence of Margaret’s design ethos.

MHL.レーベルは、ワークウエアに見られる機能的なディテールや耐久性のあるコットン生地への着目から生まれました。生地や縫製は、マーガレット・ハウエル コレクションに比べ、より粗く、よりタフなものを採用しています。太い糸使い、カン止め、二本針ステッチなど、実用性に根ざした仕様が特徴です。
